Nominations Now Open for the 2025 East Bay Innovation Awards – The nomination period for the 2025 East Bay Innovation Awards is now open through November 1, 2024. Award categories include Catalyst, Community Impact, Manufacturing, and Product/Technology. To be eligible, your company must be headquartered or operating in Alameda or Contra Costa counties. Nominate your company today!

East Bay Data Dashboard – East Bay EDA excited to announce the launch of the East Bay Data Dashboard. Whether you’re a business, resident, or policymaker, the East Bay Data Dashboard offers a comprehensive view of the economic landscape, helping you stay informed about the economy and make data-driven decisions with confidence. Two East Bay Companies Awarded CHIPS Small Business Innovation Funding. Two East Bay companies are among the first in the U.S. to be awarded CHIPS funding to advance the nation’s semiconductor research capabilities. HighRI Optics, based in Oakland, is pioneering advanced technology for calibrating the instrument transfer function of extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithographic tools. Sigray, a 2020 East Bay Innovation Awardee from Contra Costa County, is developing a novel linear accumulation x-ray source to advance researchers and semiconductor transistor manufacturers. Read the press release. 


Latest Funding from the California Energy Commission – The California Energy Commission (CEC) offers funding opportunities that advance the state’s transition to clean energy and transportation through innovation, efficiency, and the development and deployment of advanced technologies. View the latest solicitations from the CEC. 


California Export Voucher Program – The California STEP Export Voucher allows eligible small businesses to propose their own export promotion activities and receive reimbursement for up to 75% of pre-approved expenses, with a maximum reimbursement amount of $10,000 each federal fiscal year. Export voucher applications must be submitted prior to the planned activity and within the appropriate application round. Learn more.
